Ethan looked at himself in the mirror. His whole life has come to this day. Everything needs to be perfect. His designer black suit, handmade, tailored just for him – fits the role he needs to assume today. One of a kind Rolex, black tie made of silk – every accessory is carefully chosen, even his cufflinks.

Everyone will be looking at him, so his outside needs to match the blood in his veins. He is the heir of this conglomerate. And he needs to woo every shareholder at this meeting.

He saw the press gathering at the main entrance of his office building, and he signaled the driver to go around the back.

They stopped and his doors opened.

“Mister Laurier.” His secretary greeted him.

“Are they all here, mister Lowe?” Ethan asked, getting out of the car.

“There is only one missing. One of the major ones.”

“Who?” Ethan frowned.

“Mister Hart can’t make it. His daughter will be attending instead of him.”

“His daughter?”

“He has been training her for a while now, to take over his business. There are rumors she wants to take a different approach – to change the climate, so I’ve heard.”

The older man was walking with the younger heir towards the elevator.

“To change the climate?”

“Yes.” He heard a soft, clear voice behind him. He turned around to see a beautiful young woman looking at him. She was shorter than Ethan, but her confidence made her the tallest in the room.

“Miss Hart.” Lowe greeted her and waited for them to get in the elevator.

“What is wrong with this climate, miss Hart?” Ethan couldn’t keep quiet.

“I would like to take a more flexible approach to our products in the future. One that wouldn’t only cater to the wallets of the rich.”

“That is commendable, miss Hart.” He smirked. “How would that bring economic growth to your soon-to-be company?”

“If you want to know more, you are welcome to tomorrow’s meeting. It will take place in my hotel – the highest floor.” She smiled and exited the elevator.

“Do you think she will fight for more power in this company, too?” Lowe asked, worried.

“I hope so.” Ethan smiled, looking at her entering the conference hall.
